At approximately 8:10 am on Saturday, Regina Police responded to a residence on the 700 block of Athol Street for a report of a woman having been shot.

Upon arrival, a woman was found to have sustained serious injuries. EMS transported the woman to hospital.

The scene is currently being held for investigation and traffic is restricted in the area while police investigate. They are asking the public to remain out of the area until the incident is dealt with.

Police have no further information to release at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
