RCMP in Meadow Lake are looking for more information regarding an incident on Tuesday when gunshots were heard in the town.

The detachment received multiple calls about shots being fired near 3rd Avenue East in Meadow Lake. Officers attended the area and began gathering information from witnesses and physical evidence.

Police received a description of a possible suspect vehicle before another report of shots that were fired near 2nd Avenue West a short time later. A vehicle matching the same description was seen in the area.

The vehicle was found and seized by RCMP. Members of the RCMP North Battleford Forensic Identification Services are examining the vehicle for physical evidence at this time. No charges have been laid on the driver in relation to the shooting.
