Two men dealing with serious injuries after plane crash northwest of Archerwill

Two men are dealing with serious injuries after a single plane crash northwest of Archerwill on Saturday.

Greenwater RCMP, along with Archerwill Fire, Rose Valley and Naicam EMS, and STARS were all called to the scene.

The two occupants of the plane were trapped inside until emergency response crews were able to safely extract the 58 and 52 year-old men from the plane.

Greenwater RCMP say weather may have caused the plane to go down, as there was extreme fog and frost at the time of takeoff.

RCMP do not believe this was criminal in nature. The scene was closed off for a brief time, but was released later that day.

Archerwill is about 260 kilometres north northwest of Regina.
