One man is in hospital after he was shot at several times and hit once in Meadow Lake early Monday morning.

The victim, along with two others, were inside of a parked vehicle on Cochin Avenue in Meadow Lake, but sped away during the shooting. The vehicle collided with a power pole during the incident, caught fire and was heavily damaged.

A 29-year-old man suffered serious injuries as a result of the shooting, and was taken to hospital, while the other passengers were not injured in the incident.

RCMP from North Battleford and Meadow Lake are both investigating this incident, and it is believed this was a targeted attack.
