Province signs on to Cleantech program

The province has signed an agreement between Innovation Saskatchewan and Foresight Cleantech Accelerator Centre to establish, what the province calls, a world-class cleantech accelerator program in Saskatchewan.

The program will provide programming and support for up to ten qualifying Saskatchewan cleantech startups. The startups will be required to pay $200 per month to access the program.

Minister Responsible for Innovation Saskatchewan Jeremy Harrison says, “We want to build an ecosystem that supports our businesses and industries to develop viable innovations to address climate change”.

Foresight will launch a four-month long pilot training program, and will provide overall program and management support, along with advisor, Executive-in Residence resources and program contact. Innovation will provide advisor support and a project investment of $22,000 that will be augmented by in-kind support from both parties.
