Active COVID-19 case count in SK goes back above 3,000 mark

There are 286 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Monday.  There are also 96 recoveries putting the active case count at 3,027.

Two more people have died bringing the provincial total to 160. The latest are a person in their 70’s from the Northeast zone and a person in the 80-plus age range from the Far Northeast zone.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (18), Far North Central (1), Far North East (46), North West (17), North Central (63), North East (5), Saskatoon (41), Central West (5), Central East (8), Regina (48), South West (1), South Central (8) and South East (9) zones. Sixteen new cases have pending residence information.

180 people are in hospital. 145 are receiving inpatient care with 35 getting intensive care including 16 in Regina.

The seven-day daily average now sits at 209.

On Sunday, there were 1,485 tests processed putting the provincial total at 435, 642.
