Two people charged after stealing vehicle out of Broadview

Two people have been charged after stealing a vehicle out of Broadview on December 23rd.

On Christmas Eve, at around 3:30 pm, an RPS officer noticed a marron-coloured Ford Edge in the area of 11th Avenue and Hamilton Street. The officer took note of the license plate and learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen the day before.

The vehicle made its way to a business on the 1300 block of Broadway Avenue, where two people got out of the car. Officers followed them into the business and took both suspects into custody without incident.

Both were arrested and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.

21-year-old Joshua Jeremiah Nippi, and 33-year-old Tracey Lynn Jimmy have both been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. In addition, Jimmy has been charged with Breach of Probation.

Both have been released on conditions with a court date of April 19th.
