Carnduff RCMP and the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Underwater Recovery Team recovered the body of a 25-year-old man who had been missing since Christmas Eve.

Police say the man’s family was told on Christmas Eve that he was planning on going ice fishing near the Alameda Dam with his red Arctic Cat 700 ATV. He was never heard from again.

An ATV of the same make and model was found under the ice on Christmas Eve by the Oxbow Fire Department.

Police have confirmed that the man’s body was recovered Sunday afternoon. His family, and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service have been notified.
