Regina man charged after drug trafficking investigation

A Regina man is facing charges after an investigation into drug trafficking.

On Tuesday, at approximately 8:05 am, the Regina Police SWAT team executed a search warrant on the 1000 block of Cameron Street, police searched both a residence and a vehicle.

Police recovered quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine. Police also seized cash, drug paraphernalia, and multiple imitation firearms.

49-year-old Martin Dennis Labonte has been charged with possession or property obtained by crime, 3 counts of possession of a scheduled substance, and 2 counts of possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Labonte made his first appearance in court Wednesday morning.
