Friday COVID-19 update shows 283 cases, 126 in hospital and one more death

The province is reporting 283 new cases of COVID-19.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (9), Far North East (11), North West (12), North Central (47), North East (7), Saskatoon (50), Central West (7), Central East (9), Regina (83), South West (12), South Central (9) and South East (9) zones and 18 new cases have pending residence information. It brings the seven-day daily average to 262 or 21.7 new cases per 100,000 population.

There has also been another death as a person who was in the 80 plus demographic and in the south zone has died bringing the total number of people to die from the virus in Saskatchewan to 55.

There are 183 recoveries meaning the active case count now stands at 4,116. Of those 4,116, 974 are in the Regina region

126 people are in hospital which is down two from Thursday’s report. However, there is one more person in intensive care as that number stands at 25.

3,504 tests were processed Thursday bringing the provincial total to 357,142.
