Marion McVeety school closes due to positive COVID-19 case

Students at Marion McVeety School will be unable to attend school in-person Wednesday, as the Saskatchewan Health Authority is reporting a positive case of COVID-19 linked to the school.

Parents at the school were notified Tuesday night via automated message. The Regina Public School Board says these actions are precautionary for the safety of everyone at Marion McVeety School.

There’s no word on if the positive COVID case came from a student or a staff member. The SHA will contact anyone who has come into contact with the COVID patient.

Any staff, student or family members start showing symptoms of COVID-19, they are advised to self-isolate and seek a testing referral from Healthline 811.
