Scott Moe and Lieutenant Governor Russ Mirasty officially launch election campaign

It’s now official, Saskatchewan will vote on October 26.Tuesday morning Sask. Party Leader Scott Moe formally requested Lieutenant Governor Russ Mirasty dissolve the legislature to begin the 27 day campaign, the shortest campaign period legally allowed.

On Monday the Sask. Party officially unveiled their campaign vehicle in Saskatoon, Tuesday they officially launched their campaign in Regina.

Meanwhile the official opposition NDP are also launching their official campaign Tuesday, with leader Ryan Meili attending events in Regina and Moose Jaw.

Currently the Sask. Party occupy 46 seats and the NDP 13, two are vacant.

For both Moe and Meili this will be their first election as party leaders, Moe was elected after Brad Wall stepped down in 2017, Meili won a byelection in 2017.
