Yorkton Regional High School moving to remote learning after COVID-19 outbreak declared

The Saskatchewan Health Authority and Good Spirit School Division have declared an outbreak of COVID-19 at the Yorkton Regional High School.

Four individuals within the school have tested positive for the virus and it is believed to have been community spread, not transmitted within the school.

As a result, classes for Grades 9 to 12 have been cancelled on Monday, and starting on Tuesday, mandatory remote classes will begin at the regularly scheduled time.

A tentative return to school is scheduled for October 19, based on the advice of the Local Medical Health Officer.
