Active COVID-19 cases in SK drop a little more

Five new cases and eight new recoveries.

That is what the province is saying when it comes to COVID-19 numbers in Saskatchewan on Thursday meaning the active case count has dropped to 130

Two of the five new cases, which brings the provincial total to 1,681, come from Saskatoon with the west-central, south-central and Regina zones each having one.

Eight people are in hospital. Seven of those eight are in Saskatoon with no one in intensive care.

A $2,000 fine has been issued to an individual, following public health’s review of their contact investigation that determined the individual did not self-isolate when symptomatic. No other information is being given as to where this occurred or who the individual is.

Meanwhile, the weekly report for kids up to the age of 19 has been released. It shows 24 positive cases in Saskatchewan schools for the week of September 14-20. 13 of the 24 come from Saskatoon with Regina having five.
