Plans delayed to make former Capital Pointe site temporary parking lot

The City of Regina’s Planning Commission has delayed plans to turn the former Capital Pointe site downtown into a temporary parking lot.

The commission voted 8-2 on Wednesday in favour of giving the idea more time and research before committing to it.

The temporary parking lot would have just under 90 spaces for regular vehicles, and eight spaces for motorcycles and bicycles.

The temporary lot would be in use for one year before a decision on what to do next was made.
